Announcements from our pastor 6.2.24

Dear Sisters and Brothers,

This weekend the Church celebrates the Solemnity of the Body and blood of Christ.  This Solemnity celebrates the Real Presence of Christ in the consecrated bread and wine.  In fact, it was a miracle – in 1263—that a priest who had difficulty believing in the Real Presence – while he was celebrating Mass – the Host began to bleed , leaving blood on the linen corporal– eventually this caused him and so many others to believe in the Real Presence of Jesus in the consecrated bread and wine.

This is our parish’s feast day – so as we celebrate the Eucharist this week and in light of “Seek the City” , let us pray for our parish – that it might continue to be shining light in the Bolton Hill and Reservoir Hill communities.

Peace,

Fr. Marty
