This week we close out another month in this calendar year. As we begun the month of November we have two liturgical celebrations that remind us of people who have gone before us in faith.
On November 1st, the Church celebrates the Solemnity of All Saints. This is when we remember all the holy men and women and children who have gone before us and are now sitting in the Kingdom of Heaven. Let us pray that all these saints will intercede to God for all of us as we continue our journey on this earth.
Traditionally on November 2nd, the Church celebrates the Feast of All Souls. This liturgical celebration commemorates all our deceased loved ones. This year the Masses that will be celebrated on the weekend will be offered for All Souls. In addition, our Books of the Dead will be enthroned on the high altar for the month. Peace,

This past Monday we shall enter in to the season of autumn. Summer will be over, officially, even if the temperatures don’t show it. Though the mornings and evening recently have been rather cool. I will not complain. I prefer the cool weather – fall and winter to the summer. So I am a happy camper when it comes to this changes in season.
